8" Metal Landscape Edging | Corrugated Galvanized Steel Garden Border New

I'm new to this type of garden and there is a bit of a learning cure and effort involved in installation. I fully acknowledge that the this product will look beautiful when properly installed, the metal is uniform and will surely be durable. Regarding aesthetic, I sill prefer wood, yet I like how this will last better and not be affected by pests or water. The labor of trenching and hammering it in will have to be something that I outsource as it feels to time consuming for me personally, but that's not reflection of this brand and would be true for all comparable products. We received a 25 ft, as advertised, and it is hemmed, which gives an upgraded appearance.Photo is a sloppy first attempt at rolling it out and marking borders.

We have been trying to eliminate water run off from our patio into the neighbors yard and keep it in our tree orchard beds. I requested this as part of the solution to that problem, and our mulch cover floating away with it. I am happy to report it is working like a charm. Once the gutter goes in to sluice excess rain to our dry well, everything will be done!Getting this as part of completing this project was the right call. It is tall enough (pic 3) to block even heavy downpour volume; and, let it absorb into the soil instead of washing it out or away. The installation took about 25 minutes to get it straight and work it into the ground (pic 3). I advise a rubber coated mallet for this. Also, do please follow the instructions on the box flaps (pic 2) of wearing gloves. This should not even be optional to ignore. The iron was contained in a gauze drawstring bag (pic 1) that made it easy to transport to the location; and, the the strapping kept it from unraveling before getting there.Overall, I'm very impressed with the item itself and the clean look; and, the forethought that came into production and packaging for once it got into consumers' hands. They valued safety and proper handling vs making a dollar more, by cutting those things out. 5/5 product, description match, picture alignment, and everything else they delivered to the consumer we didn't ask for, but very well needed. This review is for the ANNOELL 8" x 25' Corrugated Metal Garden Edging. I ordered this to edge the front of my yard which is just about 25'. The instructions say to place a piece of wood between your mallet and the edging to prevent damage. I quickly realized however that this is not a one-person job; not with 25' of edging. I tried the method with the wood, but my ground is way too hard and rocky. I'm sure this will work; I just need to figure out how to install it. I think it is fairly priced costing just under $43 at the time of writing this review.

Unfortunately the project I had in mind for this edging had to be delayed because I tore a bicep tendon, but I believe this is high quality.Has an obviously think galvanized coating on the steel.The steel is thick, and it has rolled edges on the top and bottom (this makes it stronger).It's flexible but holds it's shape once you secure it.My plan for this was to define a flower bed and separate the grass from the edge. I wanted to raise the bed slightly with more topsoil and still have room for mulch, and retain the mulch. Also I wanted a hard stop to use my string trimmer against for the grass. This edging will fit all of those needs.My only con is that it's more expensive than others of similar make. Not horrendously, but noticably.When I can finally use my arm again and get the project done I'll post some pictures. I use galvanized raised beds both home made and bought from Amazon in my extensive gardens, so this was a good match.It's installed by pounding it in to bare dirt. I've used this kind of edging before, I recommend you clear any grass or vegetation before you try to pound it in and to use a rubber mallet so you don't deform the edge. Using your weed Wacker to take it down to bare dirt works pretty well. Also wetting the area helps make it easier

This edging is SPECTACULAR. We live on the eastern plains of Colorado, where the wind apparently considers anything not physically restrained to be a donation. Mulch, leaves, patio furniture―if it isn't secured, there's a decent chance it'll be halfway to Kansas by dinner.I used this around our trees to create defined mulch rings, and it works beautifully. The 8-inch height gives the mulch an actual barrier instead of the polite suggestion it had before, which is especially helpful when your yard routinely experiences winds with criminal intent.It was also surprisingly easy to set up. The corrugated metal is sturdy enough to hold its shape but flexible enough that I could form a large circle without having to engage in hand-to-hand combat with 25 feet of galvanized steel. Once in place, it feels substantial and looks fantastic.And LOOK AT IT. This isn't sad little plastic lawn edging pretending it has authority. The galvanized corrugated metal gives the landscaping a clean, finished look that's somehow both rustic and intentional. It immediately made the tree rings look like an actual landscaping project instead of "we dumped several bags of red mulch over here and hoped everyone understood the vision."I also really appreciate the hemmed edges. Metal landscaping products can occasionally have a certain *surprise tetanus adventure* quality about them, but this was comfortable to handle while positioning it.Most importantly, it's doing exactly what I wanted: defining the tree ring and helping keep the mulch where the mulch has been instructed to live.In Colorado wind, that's not merely landscaping. That's containment.I'm ridiculously happy with this edging. Now I'm wandering around the property looking for other things that might benefit from their own tiny corrugated-metal fortress.

I used this to ring two trees and border a gravel path, and the corrugation is what makes it work. The wave pattern lets the strip bend into a smooth arc without buckling, which is the failure mode of flat steel edging. Push a flat sheet into a curve and it kinks. This holds the shape you set it to. It also stands up to soil pressure once backfilled, and the ridges give it enough spine that it has not bowed outward where the bed is mounded. The rolled top and bottom edges matter more than I expected. Sheet metal this thin usually leaves you bleeding, and being able to handle a twenty five foot coil without gloves on is a genuine improvement. Cutting still needs snips and gloves. Two practical notes. A coil this long has memory and wants to spring, so unroll it with a foot on one end or have a second person. And it is a bright zinc finish out of the box, so expect a shiny look for a season before it dulls to gray.

My flower beds were starting to look a little messy, so I decided to try this corrugated metal edging, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I'll Be Buying More!This garden edging is indeed made out of thin flexible metal. It's not that horrible plastic stuff! It comes rolled up and initially I was worried about undoing it and how it was shape to my garden bed. I shouldn't have worried. It is thin and flexible and easy to maneuver however you need to. The fluting gives it stability while sitting on the ground and makes it easier to handle. Even in my hard clay dirt I was able to push it into the earth just enough without damaging the top edge. I think this edging will be durable enough to last many years and even if it rusts I think it will still look nice.I love how it looks, so I will definitely be adding it to all my garden beds. I love the clean look and it will be easy to string trim the weeds.

The Annoell Corrugated Metal Garden Edging at 8" tall worked out perfectly for me. I used this edging to make tree rings. This edging is a sturdy solution with a robust depth that will protect our trees. This feels heavy-duty compared to my last roll I got from a local hardware store. I appreciate that this is galvanized steel and it has a bright steel shine finish.It's easy enough to drill, so I was able to insert nuts and bolts to fasten it into circles. The corrugated metal makes it flexible and easy to shape. After making the tree rings, I just dug a narrow edging hole with a manual lawn edger and inserted the edging about 2 inches deep. The edges, both top and bottom, are hemmed so I didn't have to stress about cutting myself as I pushed it down into the edging line. The project came out looking professional.
